The Resort

Since 1935 guests have eagerly arrived ready to fish, relax and unwind in the great outdoors. The anticipation and excitement of a family vacation are still true today. As guests arrive they are ready to un-pack, and leave their cares’ behind for a while as they enjoy the beautiful setting at Niemeyer’s Rugged River Resort.
 
At the heart of the resort, are six cabins. Niemeyer’s has maintained a nostalgic small resort feel, where guests can relax in privacy or enjoy the serenity of wandering around the 100 acre wooded property, while still offering modern day amenities.
 

Pet Friendly:

At Niemeyer’s Rugged River Resort, pets are welcome. We know your furry friends are an important part of your family and we’d like you to be able to bring them along.
 
Our goal, is an enjoyable stay for everyone. We ask you to keep your pet on a leash on resort grounds, and to clean up after them. When your pet cannot be with you, we ask that you keep them in a portable kennel. If you don’t have room to pack one, we have kennels for your use. Even the best mannered pets can act out of character in a new environment and this can be stressful for pets as well as their owners. For the sake of all of our guests, we’d like you to consider carefully how you and your pet will react during your vacation.
 
We charge a fee for each pet’s stay, be sure to ask for your pet’s goodie bag when you check in!
